We have a fantastic opportunity for a Linux Engineer to join a bespoke Dutch consultancy with a true Dutch company culture.

What you’ll do day-to-day

• System administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (mainly RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) across on-premise and cloud environments.

• Monitoring & troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, analysis logs, and resolve incidents to ensure maximum uptime.

• Automation & scripting: Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible) to automated deployments, patching, and configuration management.

• Security & compliance: Apply patches, manage user permissions, enforce security hardening, and ensure compliance with company and client standards.

• CI/CD support: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate Linux infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform).

• Networking tasks: Manage firewalls, DNS, VPN, load balancers, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

• Documentation: Maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, consultants, and clients in both Dutch and English to design scalable, reliable solutions.

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

• Hands-on knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform)

• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar)

• Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus)

• Independent worker, but thrives in a collaborative DevOps setting

• Dutch language skills highly valued (English essential)
